Registro GEICO de tumores Ginecologicos (GEICO 81-T)

What is the GEICO Registry? The GEICO Registry serves as an invaluable tool for collecting clinical information on patients diagnosed with gynecologic cancers within our network. Since the beginning of this project, we have worked closely with the Biobanks and Biomodels Platform (formerly the National Biobank Network) to promote the collection of biological samples. Together with the biological samples stored in each hospital’s biobank, the Registry drives the development of research projects aimed at advancing knowledge of gynecologic cancers and improving diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients.
Mission The main goal of the GEICO Registry is to promote academic clinical research in gynecologic cancer, while also serving as a key tool to facilitate access for the scientific community to biological samples and high-quality clinical and epidemiological data. This enables the development of translational research projects of excellence, with the objective of expanding knowledge on molecular and epidemiological foundations, as well as on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the disease.
Estructura Dr. José Antonio López-Guerrero serves as Coordinator of the GEICO Registry. The scientific direction is advised by the Executive Committee and the Registry Working Group, while technical coordination is managed by GEICO’s operational structure. The GEICO Registry Working Group includes:
  • José Antonio López-Guerrero (IVO)
  • Yolanda García (Hospital Universitario de Álava – Txagorritxu)
  • Fernando Gálvez (Hospital Universitario de Jaén)
  • Gloria Marquina (Hospital Clínico San Carlos)
