As established in our bylaws, we organize our structure on the basis of the following governing bodies:
The Executive Committee: governs, manages and represents GEICO. It is composed of 4 members, researchers of proven excellence, who are responsible for making decisions for the operation and future of the organization. His responsibilities include planning the group's activities, supervising research projects, and managing financial resources. In addition, the Executive Committee establishes the strategic lines, ensuring that GEICO's efforts are aligned with the most relevant scientific objectives.
The General Assembly: is made up of all active GEICO members. It is the group's sovereign body and meets once a year to discuss and decide on key issues and define the group's strategic lines.
The Board of Directors: is constituted by the members of the EC and the Past President and other members of the group proposed by the EC who shall be actively involved in the development of the various activities of the association, mainly in the GEICO Committees. The functions are to act as an advisory body to the Executive Committee and the group in general for the different activities and decisions, to ensure that the purposes for which the group was created are fulfilled, to follow up on proposals and activities and to propose the creation of those working groups deemed appropriate for the functioning of the group.
