Non-profit scientific association founded in 1999 as the Spanish Ovarian Cancer Research Group, GEICO evolved in 2023 into the Spanish Gynecological Cancer Research Group a change that reflects the breadth and depth of our current mission. We are the leading cooperative group in Spain dedicated to advancing clinical and translational research in gynecologic cancers

Driven by a collaborative and multidisciplinary spirit, GEICO unites over 400 specialists in gynecologic oncology—including medical oncologists, gynecologists, pathologists, and molecular biologists—across more than 140 hospitals throughout Spain.

To be a national and international benchmark in clinical and translational research in gynecologic cancer —a reference for both healthcare professionals and patients and their families, through education, training, and scientific dissemination.
Mission
RESEARCH: We promote research in the field of gynecologic tumors by coordinating clinical studies at all stages.
TRAINING: We foster medical education in gynecologic cancer through the organization of scientific meetings, congresses, and courses.
Outreach: We support the patient community by developing awareness and educational initiatives focused on gynecologic cancer and its impacts.
