Comprehensive Training Program in Immuno-Oncology “Campus Horizon”
Immunotherapy Course in Gynecologic Tumors
The Campus Horizon comprehensive training platform, in its second edition (2021–2022), offers two options for accessing online training in Immuno-Oncology: a formal Master’s Degree awarded by Rey Juan Carlos University, or the opportunity to enroll in one of 10 Immuno-Oncology Courses in specific therapeutic areas, accredited by the Spanish Continuing Education Commission. GEICO, as a leading cooperative group in gynecologic cancer research, has had the pleasure of leading, through its coordinator Dr. Helena García, the Immunotherapy Course in Gynecologic Tumors. To access the course content, participants must first be selected through a process coordinated by the scientific groups endorsing the project. The minimum requirements are:
  • Oncologists with an accredited degree and medical residency completed in Spain
  • Membership in any of the following scientific groups: SEOM, GECP, GÉTICA, SOGUG, GEICAM, SOLTI, TTCC, TTD, GEICO, GEM, GOTEL, GETNE, GINEON, GG, GEIS, GEMCAD
  • Submission of a motivation letter and a CV

2nd EDITION OF THE TRAINING COURSE IN GYNECOLOGIC ONCOLOGY: Online course from February 15, 2021 to October 15, 2021
SPANISH GROUP FOR GYNECOLOGIC CANCER RESEARCH (GEICO) The Training Course in Gynecologic Oncology is organized by GEICO with the aim of educating physicians or graduates in medicine, or in any other Health Sciences discipline, who are interested in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of gynecologic tumors. GEICO has decided to launch this second edition due to the high enrollment rate and the high level of satisfaction with the content expressed by participants in the first edition of the course. The course content has been updated from the first edition to adapt it to the current context. The course program is attached. The OBJECTIVE of this course is to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary theoretical and practical training for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic tumors to the various professionals involved in this process. For this reason, it is AIMED at physicians or graduates in medicine or any Health Sciences discipline with an interest in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of gynecologic tumors, as well as Gynecologic Oncologists, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists with an active role in the management of these neoplasms. The course is also open to fourth- and fifth-year medical residents. To achieve these objectives, the course is STRUCTURED into 6 main modules: two cross-sectional modules and four tumor-specific modules. Each module includes a syllabus delivered through presentations prepared by specialists in each topic. The duration of the course is 8 months, beginning on February 15 (from February 2021 to October 2021), and includes a self-assessment exam for each module.
