Registration closed for the Expert Diploma Course in Gynecologic Oncology of the Spanish Group for Research on Gynecologic Cancer (GEICO)
We are pleased to announce that the third edition of the Expert Diploma Course in Gynecologic Oncology began on September 15, 2023. The main goal of this program is to provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary training in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic tumors. The key new feature of this edition is that it will be offered as a postgraduate course by the University of Girona. All students who successfully complete the program will receive the Diploma of Expert in Gynecologic Oncology.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must hold a degree in Medicine or any other discipline within the Health Sciences field and show an interest in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of gynecologic tumors.
Evaluation System
Evaluation consists of a set of theoretical questions at the end of each module, developed by the faculty. To pass the course, students must successfully complete all module tests. The final grade will be the average score of all modules, and a minimum of 70% correct answers per module is required to pass.
Teaching Methodology
The course content is delivered online. Each module is presented in PowerPoint (PPT) format, accompanied by video summaries from the faculty. Recommended readings and additional materials are provided at the end of each module.
Each module includes a coordinator or tutor responsible for:
  • Reviewing module content to ensure consistency and structure.
  • Preparing summary algorithms and follow-up sections.
  • Answering students’ questions.
  • Facilitating direct communication with faculty members.
