According to our bylaws, GEICO’s structure is organized around the following governing bodies:
Executive Committee: governs, manages, and represents GEICO. It is composed of four members, researchers with proven excellence, who make decisions regarding the operation and future direction of the organization. Their responsibilities include planning the group’s activities, overseeing research projects, and managing financial resources. The Executive Committee also defines the strategic lines, ensuring that GEICO’s efforts remain aligned with the most relevant scientific objectives.
General Assembly: formed by all active GEICO members. It is the sovereign body of the group and meets once a year to discuss and decide on key issues and define the organization’s strategic direction
Board of Directors: composed of the members of the Executive Committee, the Past President, and other group members appointed by the Executive Committee, who must be actively involved in GEICO’s activities—mainly through its committees. Its functions include advising the Executive Committee, ensuring that the organization’s objectives are met, monitoring initiatives and activities, and proposing the creation of working groups when deemed appropriate for the effective operation of the association
