TRAINING COURSE IN GYNAECOLOGICAL ONCOLOGY
Online Course from October 2019 to March 2020
We are pleased to inform you of the first call for the Gynecologic Oncology Training Course.
The OBJECTIVE of this course is to provide a theoretical-practical, comprehensive and multidisciplinary training for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological tumors to the different professionals who collaborate in this process.
For this reason it is ADDRESSED to graduates in medicine or any other discipline of Health Sciences with an interest in the diagnosis, treatment and research of gynecological tumors, and also to gynecologists, oncologists, radiotherapists and medical oncologists, with a relevant role in the treatment of these neoplasms, although each specialist will have their own specific weight in the decisions taken by the tumour committee, it is necessary for all of them to know the specific indications of each therapeutic option, the different surgical techniques, the radiotherapy modalities and their toxicity, as well as the different systemic therapies that can be used in each tumour (chemotherapy, hormonotherapy, targeted therapies or immunotherapy) with their possible toxicities.
To achieve these objectives, the course is STRUCTURE in 6 main modules: two transversal and 4 specific for tumors. Each of these modules has an agenda in the form of presentations made by various specialists in each of the subjects. The duration of the course is 6 months (from October 2019 to April 2020) and will include a self-evaluation exam for each module.
It is worth mentioning that a face-to-face conference will be held at the end of the theoretical part of the course, which will take place in Madrid. The aim of this face-to-face conference is to take up the topics reflected in the online part from a more practical and participative methodology between the students and the course coordinators.
